ratings & reviews An excellent book by Ina May Gaskin to get familiar with physiology of a natural birth. A half of the book is full of positive birth stories. It is written clearly and most of statements are supported by scientific studies.
It helps to understand the fascinating natural process of childbirth and moreover, at least for me, it implies positive emotions toward it. This is what I can say from the mental level about the book. However, I still can not speak out of experience
, I would recommend this reading to any woman considering natural birth.

Lately I had a pleasure to read “Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen” by Christopher McDougall. I must admit I did not like the book at first, perhaps because I am use to more technical books, manuals and similar. I had expectation (I actually don’t know why
) that this book will teach me something, give some tips, etc. And instead it was more entertaining, full of interesting stories and in the background one could spot things I was initially looking for.
However the longer I read the more interesting it was, so all in all I was satisfied, entertained and also got some pointers where to look for more specific information regarding effortless and injury-free running (i.e. evolution running, POSE, chi running).
